The floorplan and date of construction are crucial to an accurate assessment. If you don’t have access to your floorplan try contacting your builder, getting in touch with the city, or for a small fee there are services that will come and create one for you. You are usually given some form of a floorplan when you purchase your home, even if it’s an electrical layout where the walls are shown.
